Production Company Logo ...

After traveling for three weeks, I'm slowly digging myself out from under a pile of projects, logos and t-shirt designs. Here is the approved Austin Ridge Productions logo!

A plug ...

We've been traveling for like 2.5 weeks ... updates and photos to come. Right now, I'm stoked to get back home and continue working on a particular project with the Austin Ridge Production Team. It's a documentary called Makarios: A Rising Tide and portrays the work of a ministry serving the DR and Haiti. I'm currently working on the logo and am pumped about this project! Check it out:

Exciting changes in my world ...

I continue to be amazed at how God provides. About three years ago I was dreaming of doing exactly what I've been sitting on the laptop doing all morning. I'm thankful and blessed to be doing my design work from home.

I'm still doing the Creative Arts for the Student Ministry part-time. However, some exciting things have been happening at Austin Ridge Bible Church as we just launched Austin Ridge Productions! I'm the staff designer for our new production company and am currently working on a logo. We held our first meeting on Tuesday to discuss upcoming projects and I was humbled as I looked around the table and the talent and creativity God has placed around me. I couldn't be more thankful for a church that believes there is a strong need for creativity in the church.

I'm excited for these amazing projects God will throw our way! Can't wait to see where we are a year from now!

Logos and business cards ...

I've been very motivated to get to work on my own branding these days. With people approaching me about design work, I think it's crucial I get a web site and a business card for potential clients.

Here's my current ideas:

A name ...

For the last couple of months I've been trying to come up with a name a concept for my freelance "company?" A couple of moths ago EThan and I came up with this: But I'm not sure I'm crazy about it anymore.

Naming a creative company is tricky. Mostly because it's important that the name is ... well ... creative. Would love any ideas and feedback you may have on the matter!

Faceplant

These are a couple of my advertisements for Faceplant. Had a lot of fun with the text.

Logo for new sermon series in "Big Church"

I had the opportunity to design the logo for the Spring sermon series for "Big Church" at ARBC. I was so excited and would love to continue doing this. The creative team used this concept to design the staging and lighting for the sermon series as well. It was neat to see my work flow into a stage set! They also turned the logo into a banner - not my first banner but probably the most viewed! :) Thankful for a church who encourages creativity.

My new life!

I'm excited to being a new chapter in my life. Bittersweet is the closing of an amazing two years. I've LOVED working full time for the Student Ministry at Austin Ridge Bible Church. However, God has made his plan for me and made the path so easy to follow.

Next week I begin my new life working part-time as the graphic designer for the student ministry. It's always been my dream to be able to do part-time and freelance graphic work when we started our family. Crazy how God makes our dreams come true!

I'm planning to use this blog as my creative outlet. I'm so incredibly passionate about Graphic Design right now that I think I'm driving Ethan crazy! :)

I will also be doing freelance work and am working on coming up with a snazzy company name.

For now, here is something I did a couple of months ago for my cousin. I haven't had a great deal of time to dabble in the graphic arts since the past couple of months were solely dedicated to the ski trip.
